IFC, BSL plans to alleviate poverty
The International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Bank of Sierra Leone, Tuesday held a work shop at the Bintumani complex at Aberdeen to inform stakeholders of their intention to create avenues for poverty alleviation in the country.
Brian Kirungi, legal specialist of IFC’s Africa Leasing Facility said that the World Bank is ready to sponsor the Central Bank so as to help the needy and small scale business enterprises grow.
This, to them, will enhance more cash flow and reduce poverty in the country.
The Director of Banking, Tapsinu Dainkeh said that the workshop is timely and brings together the players in the financial systems that are interested in the welfare of those incapable of affording the required capital.
