‘4HIM’ boosts free health care
In a bid to complement government efforts in the achievement of the Free Health Care Service in Sierra Leone, His Healing Helping Hands International Ministries (4HIM), a locally based non-governmental organization in collaboration with its overseas partners donated medical equipment to the District Medical Officer at his Cline town office in Freetown.
Speaking on behalf of Indian Creek Christian Church and FAME in the United States of America, Mr. Lee Ladd said that the donation was made through a partner organization ‘4HIM’ Sierra Leone for onward delivery to the people of Sierra Leone as part of their support and commitment to the biblical principles which says “reach out to the poor”.
He said that the introduction of the Free Health Care by His Excellency Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma shows the spiritual concern he has for the vulnerable and deprived people in the country.
In his part, Rev Hassan Mansaray said that his organization works in a range of areas in the country and with all categories of people especially the needy.
He furthered that similar donations have been made in other places.
Rev Mansaray revealed that the office of the DMO West has benefited from non sterile examination gloves, examination glove powdered; feeding sets, oxygen tubes, ambu apparatus, carteta covers, nasal canula hanged elevated toilet seat and a host of other items.
He maintained that the donation was made to the DMO west because of the demand and of the opinion that the items donated will help reduce infant mortality rate in the country.
He admonished them to use the donated items for their intended purposes and promised to do more donations as time progresses.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the District Medical Officer west, the District Health Sister, Madam Fullah, maintained that the donation came at a time the office is in dire need for it and promised that items donated will be used for it intended purposes.
She stressed that ‘4HIM’ is one of the few non-governmental organizations that are committed to its humanitarian support in the country.
She extended appreciation to the management and staff of ‘4HIM’ and its oversea partners and beseeched them to continue with this laudable gesture.
