Usman Boie faces Salone press
As part of his campaign sojourn for the opposition Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) flag bearer position, Usman Boie Kamara (aka UBK) Friday 15th at the Atlantic Hall of the National Stadium interacted with members of the press to tell them his dream for Sierra Leone.
The timely meeting reportedly materialized owing to the efforts of the UBK2012 campaign team.
In his statement, his emphasis was on change, and he called on all to inculcate the idea of change for the betterment of all.
“I am into politics to bring change and make reforms to Sierra Leone’s old age problems,” he said.
“This meeting” he continued, “is meant to create social contact with the press.”
He smartly urged members of the press to follow ethical principles as they do their job.
The SLPP politician revealed to the press that he hasn’t any cobwebs in his drawer and that he is a fearless public figure.
“Change is what we need” he said, “I have no time for negative issues. As a scientist, it is a fact that time and energy is wasted on the negative rather than the positive.”
The SLPP politician, it is revealed, started his career as a government mining engineer in 1972, and spent his entire life in the mining sector.
He was elevated to the rank of Director in 2008 and was charged with the responsibility of supervising activities in the Mines Ministry.
He assured journalists of his intention to put Sierra Leone high on the map should he become President of this country.
He called on all to join him in his pursuit for leadership in the SLPP and possibly the Presidency of the Republic of Sierra Leone.
“I am an unsoiled politician. I have served as a mining engineer locally and internationally,” he said.
“It was during my tenure as Managing Director of the National Diamond Mining Company (NDMC) that Sierra Leone, within six months, was able to produce in excess of 50,000 carats of diamonds per annum.”
The meeting which took place at the Atlantic Hall of National Stadium Friday 15th reveals relentless efforts of Diaspora supporters in showcasing their candidate to Sierra Leoneans the worldwide over.
It is disclosed that residents of Europe and the United States have put to order a systematic arrangement in the enhancement of structures to market their candidate Usman Boie.
Usman Boie’s stress of change was seen as touching to a good number of persons present.
“Change is difficult,” he said, “but real change is necessary for the growth and betterment of Sierra Leone.”
Though unassuming and submissive in the way he talks, he is seen as one with a real time quality of change.

Mr. Usman, with all due respect, I disagree with you when you said “Change is difficult” Nothing is difficult for man if it’s done correctly and sincerely. Remember, Rome was not built in a day. Change can be achieve when you educate the masses as to what needs to be done to get to that goal. If you would think back if you where born around 1967 when the late President John F Kennedy was given his inauguration speech. He stressed to his people thus:- Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country. If the people want change they can achieve it with ease and no fears.
