Koidu Holdings take up website challenge
The Communications Director of Koidu Holdings Sierra Leone, yesterday re-echoed his company’s concerns for the construction of a website in the enhancement of free and unrestrained information dissemination.
With celebrated words, “It is on record that I have told Sierra Leoneans that Koidu Holding’s website is under construction,” were director Ibrahim Sorie’s weighty expressions of his company’s all out efforts in the implementation of a structured communication system.
He said, in January this year, senior managers assembled in Johannesburg to hold an annual planning meeting on issues adjoining real time designing of a website for the company.
“As part of the company’s strategy, it is resolved by management to, for the first time in the history of mining in Sierra Leone, introduce a formidable social media platform that will make the way for an interactive and up to date information distribution system,” he said.
Ibrahim Sorie disclosed how the website will include video, online newsletter, etc.
That following the meeting in Johannesburg in January this year, Koidu Holdings hired the services of website developers in both the UK and South Africa to design the company’s proposed site.
