28 March, 2011 – NIGERIA: The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God of Nigeria Pastor Adeboya and wife accompanied by Rev Archibald Cole (in photo) this morning paid a courtesy call on President Ernest Bai Koroma at State House.
Presenting the visiting Pastor to the President, Rev Archibald Cole said the Redeemed Church has 140 branch Churches in countries around the world and has seen and acted as Adviser to every President of Nigeria.
Speaking, Pastor Adeboya blessed the President and the nation as a whole. He informed that he had been to Sierra Leone before as a visiting Lecturer of FBC but has always wanted to come back and God had made it possible now.
According, to Pastor Adeboya the tide is turning for a better Sierra Leone and God had opened the heavens over the country only if the people can be good. He predicted that in the next three years, Sierra Leone will be prosperous. “I believe all these good things are happening during your tenure of office, for which you will be remembered and bless even after your departure” He observed.
President Koroma welcomed the Pastor on behalf of the country, noting that this is a critical moment in the history of Sierra Leone and that it is of essence that we transform ourselves to a new beginning “I am President by the grace of God” He said He noted that these are real difficult times with financial crises worldwide and that the expectation of the people are high. He called for prayers to be offered for the country.
