Mercury Int. gives SWASAL US$5,726 for Sierra Leone Niger 2012 Nations Cup Qualifying Match

The Sports Writers Association of Sierra Leone (SWASAL) is pleased to inform the general public that major sponsors Mercury International (SL) Ltd. on Saturday March 18 2011 at their 19 Siaka Stevens Street Headquarters presented the sum of Five Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty-Six (5,726) United States Dollars to the association.

The money is the actual budget for two SWASAL members to cover fully the Leone Stars versus Mena Stars of Niger 2012 Nations Cup qualifying match schedule for Sunday March 27 2011, at 4pm local time in Niamey (15:00 GMT).

The two SWASAL members who made the trip with Leone Stars to Niamey are Osman Super Text Kamara (TUMAC Radio) and Kemoh Sesay (Exclusive newspaper).

The presentation is part of a Partnership Agreement between Mercury International and SWASAL to sponsor the association cover all Leone Stars’ 2012 qualifying matches.

The US$ 5,726 budget includes air tickets, hotel, per-diem, internal transportation, daily update to local radio stations and newspapers and, scratch card for live radio commentary from Niamey.

Osman Kamara and Kemoh Sesay bring to seven the total number of SWASAL members Mercury International (SL) Ltd. has sponsored to cover international away football matches/competition since June 2010 to date.

SWASAL wishes to thank in particular Mercury International (SL) Ltd. Board Chairman Samir Hassanyeh, Admin and Legal Consultant Martin Michael, Proprietors Max Brandwain and Hassan Saad and Regional Coordinator Rodney Michael for their tremendous support to the association.

SWASAL hopes to adhere to its own part of the Partnership Agreement by giving the necessary publicity to Mercury International (SL) Ltd.
