Inter-faith Remembrance Day Service

This is a gentle reminder to you all and by extension your friends and contacts that on Wednesday March 23, 2011 at 6:00 p.m to 10:00 p.m. the Embassy of the Republic of Sierra Leone in collaboration with the Planning Committee for the 50th Anniversary Celebrations in the USA will be holding an Inter-faith Remembrance Day Service to commemorate the memory of the victims of the 11-year war that ended in 2002.

Wednesday March 23, 2011 marks the 20th anniversary of the first shot that the RUF fired.

Even as we celebrate our beloved country’s Golden Jubilee, we observe a moment of silence for the fallen compatriots.

We also use this occasion to appreciate the goodness of the Almighty God/ Allah for delivering us from evil.

All Muslims and Christians are invited to join us pray for the souls of the departed, for the leaders of our country and their wisdom to lead us and the children –our flowers of hope for a better Sierra Leone.

Come and meet old, lost friends and make new ones.   The service is at:

The Women’s Club of Chevy Chase
7931 Connecticut Avenue
Chevy Chase, MD 20815.

From 6:00 p.m – 10:00 p.m.

For further information call: (202) 939 9261/62/ 63 or call me on 646 387 2354.

I thank you.
