Airtel Staff Inform Educate & Communicate to Sierra Leoneans
Good customer service is the lifeblood of any business. You can offer promotions and slash prices to bring in as many new customers as you want, but unless you can get some of those customers to come back, your business won’t be profitable for long. This is where airtel stands in the Telecommunications business in Sierra Leone.
Staff of airtel, the telecommunications giant in Africa were on the street on Friday 25th February 2011, educating customers about products and services the company offers to Sierra Leoneans and to teach them how these products and services operate. Airtel used this medium to sell their products to Sierra Leoneans country wide as the ‘Feet on the street’ exercise took place in Freetown, Makeni, Bo, Kenema and Kono.
The key themes for the exercise were ‘a familiar name & affordability’. With the former, airtel was communicated as a universal name that customers would trust as the company aspires to be the most loved brand in the daily lives of Africans by 2015. It was also communicated that through their strength and commitment to innovation, their customers will have access to the latest technology and widest range of innovative services at affordable cost.
With regards, to affordability, the company aims to give customers greater freedom by delivering affordable mobile communications for all. This is evident in the availability of ultra low-cost handsets plus talk time, SMS data bundle with Nokia and the lowest tariffs in the market.
Good customer service is all about bringing customers back. And about sending them away happy – happy enough to pass positive feedback about your business along to others, who may then try the product or service you offer for themselves and in their turn become repeat customers.
