Angola, Tunisia in CHAN final
Angola National Football Team Palancas Negras continues to make history in the second edition of the African Cup of Nations (CHAN) Khartoum, Sudan as they defeated hosts Sudan 4-2 on penalties on Tuesday in Omdurman to make the final despite CAF President Issa Hayatou, FIFA President John Sepp Blatter, UEFA President Michel Platini, Mohammed Bin Hamman, AFC President and a host of other dignitaries that grace the occasion. It was a blemished game because of the behaviour of the Sudanese fans, throwing bottles onto the pitch in response to the defeat; it was a bitter pill for the hosts to swallow.
Undoubtedly it was the biggest crowd ever to watch in this stage of the competition.
Angola will face Tunisia on the Final February 25. Tunisia also booked their place in the final of the African Nations Championship after beating North African rivals Algeria 5-3 also on penalties, after they ended up 1-1 in full time.
