Some members who spoke to this press on grounds of anonymity accused Minister Musa Tarawallie of not using his common sense to settle misunderstanding between the general membership and the President of Traditional Healers Council.
It was recently reported that Juju men have had serious fracas owing to leadership tussle in their organization.
The matter which has taken a different dimension later saw President Koroma’s all out intervention, instructing his Minister of Internal Affairs to unconditionally settle dispute from within juju giants.
Abdul Kabia, who doubles as Vice President for COTH, told journalists that the Minister of Internal Affairs, Musa Tarawallie, has threatened to take action against members of the council if they refuse to recognize their elected President, Dr. Alhaji Sulaiman Kabba.
Abdul Kabia further disclosed how the dispute between has had serious political interferences.
He accused the Minister of taking sides.
He said that the Minister pays no consideration to other herbalist organizations because they were formed during tenures of SLPP governance.
“The dispute has virtually taken a political length,” a traditional healer said.
“Minister Tarawallie glaringly told us that Dr. Kabba is our President and we should respect and obey him.”
Sources say the Internal Affairs Minister, Musa Tarawallie, vocally vouched arresting and keeping in police cells, persons violating orders.
It must be noted however that the elected President of Council of Traditional Healers (COTH), in an interview told Sierra Leoneans that President Koroma gave their organization thousands of United State dollars.
This, and other things, we are told, surrounds reason leading to the present impasse.
It is revealed also that President Koroma intends spending more dollars on traditional healers (juju men) in Sierra Leone.
Sources say President Koroma parted with US$20,000 in support of the Traditional Healers Council.
It has reached desks of Sierra Express that the juju men promised to unseat Dr. Kabba or fall out with APC should correct measures are not put in place.
