Africell present prizes to lucky winners
The entering of Mr. Joe Abass Bangura as Africell’s Director of Corporate Affairs is seen as a great blessing that has transform the company to maintain the company’s leadership in the national GSM communication market with the most cherished valentine radio and TV promotion.
The company held its second presentation of prizes to lucky winners that were drawn from shows held from 4th to 9th February 2011. In the last presentation the company had 23 winners carting away Le4.4m, 7, 000 recharge units, 4 couples winning dinner for two and other winning mobile phones and perfume. Lucky subscribers have taken away fantastic prizes after sending a blank SMS to 777 and calling 778 for couples, costing 8units per SMS.
The second presentation of prizes was held at the Company’s 1 Pivot Street, Wilberforce Head office on Friday 11th February 2011.
The promotion which is divided in to three segments, namely, Cards of Hearts, Hearts of Millions and Studio Couples, has attracted the wider public. There are twenty boxes carried by twenty beautiful ladies, five of which contain cards of hearts, five contains heart of millions, six contain other prizes and four contain recharge units.
As at Friday 11th February, five couples have won five million Leones, nineteen winners took home a total of four million, six hundred thousand Leones in the Cards of Hearts, and seventeen winners received nine million, two hundred thousand Leones in the Heart of millions segment. Also, sixteen lucky winners received a total of twenty-six thousand, nine hundred units, while in other prizes twenty-two winners will benefit from a dinner for two and three other winners received a coupon for a saloon.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Joe Abass Bangura revealed that the first 26 couples will have their dinner for two on Sunday 13th February on Valentine’s Eve, and subsequent winning couples will be hosted to their oewn special dinner at the end the month.
Mr. Arthur B. Kallon reminded his audience that in the ‘Cards of Hearts’, a subscriber needs to pick one of the twenty boxes that has an option and he or she will have up to thirteen cards displayed. “These cards are numbered from one 1 to 10 plus three extra cards; one of the cards has the Africell Heart, another with the heartbreaker and the final one with the prize card,” he said, and added that the lucky subscriber automatically wins Le200, 000 as he or she starts and he or she would be asked to guess whether or not the other card is less than or greater than the number 5. He said the subscriber’s amount will increase with Le200, 000 more if he makes a good guess. Mr. Kallon noted that when a subscriber flips the Africell Heart card, he or she will continue and will instantly earn Le400, 000.
The Head of Events and Sponsorships informed his audience that in the ‘Hearts of Million’ a subscriber who chooses a box with the options, it will get them interact in the section containing the five balloons. One of the balloons, he said contain three million Leones cash, while the four has consolation prizes two hundred thousand Leones each. “In the prizes section, there are six boxes of prizes that include three for male ant three for female. In the male category, the prizes are perfume, phone and dinner for two; while in the female category the prizes are coupon for saloon, perfume and dinner for two.
Mr. Kallon informed his audience that there is a different game for couples in the studio on different themes.
He encouraged subscribers to continue to send blank SMS to 777 or 778 for just 8units. The draws which are held from 8pm to 9pm throughout the week excluding Thursdays and Sundays will end on 28th February 2011.
