Sierra Leone’s opponents face Morocco

In preparation for their moment of truth encounter hosting Sierra Leone in Niamey March 25 this year in the ongoing Afcon qualifier, the Federation of Nigerian Football Authority (Fenifoot) have accepted a friendly football showdown with the Morocco Atlas Lions to put things right ahead for their race for Gabon and Equatorial Guinea 2012.  (Photo: Niger football team)

According to reports this friendly contest is slated for February 9 at the Moroccan Marrakech City Stadium kickoff time 20:00 GMT.

The Moroccans will use this match as top class preparation for their own away encounter for their North African counterparts Algeria the same weekend. Morocco just as Niger lies second in their respective table for CAN 2012.

In recent weeks Niger head coach Harouna Doull, has recapped that defeating Egypt is enough of a sign that they are not afraid of any team, in the wake of the African minnows.

Doull’s men caused an upset by beating the Pharaohs last October 2010, the African champions many soccer pundits seemed to be completely toothless, in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying stage.
