Sankoh: Pre-season in full swing – “Looking forward to facing Basel, Young Boys, Shakhtar, & Sparta”
After more than two weeks of Christmas and New Year break, Sierra Leonean international Alfred Sankoh with Norwegian side Stromsgodset, has informed Sierra Express Media that they will leave for Spain on the 15th of this month and return on the 30th of January as they resume pre-season training in Marbella in Andalusia situated in the province of Malaga, Spain. The 22 year old attacking midfielder, formerly from Ullern is an instrumental figure for his Norwegian side and has said he is looking forward to the pre-season matches.
“Every player is always looking forward to pre-season matches, playing tough matches against tough sides like Basel, Young Boys from Switzerland and Shakhtar, Sparta Moscow is a way to test or prove how better you can be when the season commences” he said.
“Our first two encounters will be against Basel and Young boys in Malaga then we return back to Norway on the 30th before heading to La Manga to face Shakhtar and Sparta Moscow,” he confirmed.
Stromsgodset’s midfielder, Alfred Sankoh who made his debut for Sierra Leone against South Africa in Freetown in the ongoing African Nations Cup qualifiers last Sunday is expected to rejoin his Norwegian side in thr Tippeligaen division to face second place Vålerenga this Saturday.
