World Ranking – Sierra Leone two places up!

Leone Stars went down two places in the December’s FIFA world ranking release. Their rise and fall is still a surprise too many soccer football pundits considering they are out of all other national level competitions except the senior National team are still hoping for a place in Gabon, Equatorial Guinea 2012.

However, African champions Egypt are still topping the continent ranked as one of the world’s top ten teams, despite dropping one place from ninth to tenth.

Croatia replaces them after they were beaten 2-1 in a friendly by Qatar last month. Ghana remains Africa’s second-ranked side, at 16th in the world, followed by Ivory Coast, who is 21st.

Nigeria, ranked 32nd in the world and are fourth in Africa. World champions Spain remain the top side in the worldwide list, followed by the team they beat in the final of South Africa 2010, the Netherlands.
