As S/L U-23 arrive with 34-man delegation Bicskei names his squad
For the 2012 London Olympics Games second leg qualifying encounter between two neighbours Sierra Leone and Liberia, Sierra Leone safely arrived last night, Thursday 16th, in Monrovia, with a 34 man delegation, which includes 18 players and three journalists who made the two day road trip. However, their Liberian counterpart’s head Coach; Bertalan Bicskei’s has named a 21-man squad, of which four professionals are amongst for the encounter. Sekou Jabateh Oliseh, including Turkish based duo of Theo Weeks, Israeli based forward Patrick Doeplah and the Egyptian based striker William Jebor, are to join with the locals in plotting against Sierra Leone.
Reports reaching Sierra Express Media state that two of the foreign-based players are already in Monrovia – midfielders Patrick Doeplah of club Hapoel Kfar Saba FC and Theo Weeks of Ankanragucu. Their best in form striker Sekou Jabateh of CSK Moscow will arrive in Monrovia tomorrow.
The match officials for the day are from Ghana and they are expected to arrive in Monrovia today. The match commissioner is from The Gambia and was supposed to have arrived yesterday.
