Kamara 2010 player of the Year

Despite not playing in Finland again after signing a three-year contract with Serbian side Partizan, the Sierra Leonean’s outstanding performance has handed him an award, he is the Finnish 2010 Player of the Year. At the upcoming annual awards ceremony, taking place at Helsinki`s Royal Crowned Plaza Hotel, Kamara will receive a huge trophy while awards will be handed over to the best manager and referee of the year, too.

Finnish 2010 Player of the Year trophy

Kamara was born and raised in Bo, Sierra Leone. He started his playing career in the Sierra Leone Premier League with FC Kallon in 2002, as a regular player he was part of the U-17 team that lost to Cameroon in the 2003 African under 17 Championship final in Swaziland.

Recently after signing for Partizan in August 2010 this year Kamara was called up for the first time to represent his National side Leone Stars against South Africa in the ongoing Freetown but was not able to make the squad due to the fact he was just move to Belgrade.

Kamara has a wide experience now since joining Partizan with almost all Partizan Champions’ League games in recent weeks, playing against the likes Arsenal, Shakhtar Donetsk, despite they are bottom of the table he was a vital player.

He will be part of the Partizan squad that will face Arsenal on December 8 for their final match. Arsenal need to beat Partizan Belgrade in their final match to guarantee progress. They are presently topping the Serbian league from 14 matches with secure 37points.
