IRC Accountant in Le 36M theft
An accountant working for International Rescue Committee (IRC) is in cells at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for the offence of forgery and fraud of cheques amounting to Le 36 million.
Moses Wright, prior to his employment at the IRC, was formerly working as an accountant for Plan Sierra Leone, but met his sacking in 2006, after it was discovered that he forged cheques and defrauded the organization of monies to the tune of Le 50 million.
He was dragged to court but discharged on the grounds of ‘want of prosecution;’ due to vehement ignorance of officials of Plan Sierra Leone in tendering evidence against him.
Moses Wright, on a number of occasions overindulged into forgery of cheques belonging to organizations he works for.
He is said to have forged cheques owned by Care Sierra Leone, but again walked out of it as a freeman.
Sources say officials of respective organizations aforementioned; passionately avoid giving evidences against Moses on what is believed to be criminal conspiracy.
It has reached Sierra Express Media that Moses, on two occasions, was arraigned before courts for forgery and fraud, and twice walked away at no cost.
The arrest of Moses, according police source, came shortly after a report concerning his third involvement reached detectives of CID HQ Freetown.
He is presently with the police helping them in their investigation.

This is so sad. As a Sierra Leonean who has put in years of service with the IRC
30th November 2010I am ashamed that my compatriot can go this low in damaging the good name of those of us who have been advocating for more services from the IRC to our country. I hope Justice prevails in this case.
