Phone call kills wife!
Zainab Kanneh, past Tuesday, met her death after receiving a mobile call from an unknown caller.
It is revealed that Zainab was ruthlessly murdered by her husband Yaryah Sesay, an employee of Leocem Company at Cline Town.
Her death came shortly after she received a mobile call in the presence of her husband Yaryah.
That Zainab, upon receiving the call, made an attempt to access the bathroom where she could have easily held discussion with the unknown caller, but was halted by the husband, who had accused her of extra marital relationship.
Eyewitness accounts say the deceased took to her heels to escape from her husband, but was unluckily caught.
As she attempted to run away, she fell on the ground and was caught by the husband.
Sources say she was beaten by the husband to coma.
Yaryah came to consciousness after noticing that the deceased (wife) was in a helpless condition.
Facts as revealed state how Yaryah was observed shouting: “u nar cam oh ar don kill me wef.”
Neighbours came to his rescue and helped convey Zainab, who as at then was almost dead, to Connaught Hospital where she finally departed.
Findings by this press say the corpse would have been buried past Thursday, but was halted due to the intervention of a military captain, Brima Sannoh, who insists the police must be informed for action.
The corpse which was already at the Casselle Farm Mosque for prayers was turned down to the police while Yaryah placed under police custody for questioning.
The police at Ross Road insist not making comment as, according to them, the investigation is yet embryonic.
