Edul Ada Sermon By The Chief Imam of Jamatul Haq, AlhaJI Abdullah Savage.

Alhaji Abdullah Savage, a learned scholar and Chief Imam of Jamatul Haq delivered again a passionate sermon in the usual Eid message to the Islamic community present and worldwide. Alhaji Abdullah Savage who has lived in the community for over thirty years is described as one of the founding fathers of Islam as we know it today around this part of the United States. As head of the Islamic Society of Franklin Township, (JAMAATUL HAQ), Imam Abdullah Savage (in photo) has become a true Islamic scholar who is now mentoring the younger generations in the teachings of the prophets Mohamed and the Islamic way of life.

Here is the Sermon!

Allah is the greatest! Allah is the greatest! Allah is the greatest!

Allah is the greatest! Allah indeed is the greatest.

Glory be to Allah mornings and evenings, and all praise is due to Allah, Lord of all the worlds.

Brothers and sisters in Islam, today Muslims all over the world are celebrating the occasion of EID-UL-ADHA

PILGRIMAGE to the house of Allah is a law and requirement for every Muslim, male as well as female who can afford the means of the journey

The first house of worship established by Allah in this world was the kahabah in Mecca. As he the Almighty Allah tells us in the Quran karIm in suratul Al Imran verse #9

The first house of worship appointed for men was the house of Bakka: full of blessings and guidance for all the worlds.

Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar!

A SYMBOL OF THE FINAL STAGE

As the Imam narrates the full story of the HAJJ, he lamented on how Hajj

has been the symbol of the final stage in the spiritual development of man. It

teaches us complete submission to the will of Allah. Because a pilgrim,

Without fully understanding the inner meanings of going around the Kahaba,

Without fully understanding the inner meanings of kissing the black stone (Hajaral Aswad), making 2 Rakatts prayer behind the station of makamah Ibrahim, running between the green pillars of safa and mawah, waiting at minah, Arafat and musdalifa, throwing pebbles or stones at jamarat, and shaving his head, does all these rituals in blind submission to the will of Allah.

Therefore, Allah becomes pleased with his servant and forgives him for all of his sins, saying without questioning the reason why he was ordered to do these rituals, my servant believed and obeyed me and does them. That is why the Almighty Allah said in suratul Bagara:

“It is not righteousness that you turn your faces towards the east or west, but it is righteousness to believe in Allah”.

Allah is the greatest! Allah is the greatest! Allah is the greatest!

TO WHOM IS HAJJ COMPULSORY

Hajj is compulsory on a Muslim as soon as certain conditions exist for the person.

1. The first condition is that he must be a freeman and not a slave
2. He must be an Adult or must have reached the age of puberty
3. He must not be INSANE
4. He must be physically able to make the journey
5. He must also have the financial ability

All these conditions combined make a hajj compulsory on a person. In other words as soon as all these conditions prevail in a person hajj becomes compulsory for him. If he fails to make the hajj, then later on in his life the person becomes ill or poor, or loses one of the conditions, he will not be free from the major sins of not making hajj in due time, because the Almighty Allah has commanded us in the Quran karim to make hajj when we have the means to do so. As He The Almighty Allah says in the Quran karim:

“walilahe alanasi hijul baiti manistatah Ilahe Sabelah”

(And for Allah, due from man there is the pilgrimage of the house, for one who has got the means of the journey

Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar!

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE DAY OF HAJJ

The performance of Hajj and the sacrifice of a lamb on this day is the renewal of the practice of our father, Ibrahim (alaihe salam).

This day was the day the Almighty Allah commanded Ibrahim(alaihe salam) in his dream to sacrifice his son, Ismail.  Ismail was the only son he had at that time. Prophet Ibrahim was about to sacrifice his son when the Almighty Allah, through the angel Jibril (alaihesalam), presented him with a ram to sacrifice in place of his son.

Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar!

Part 11 through v will be release bi-weekly starting this week.
