Another Jail Break At CID
A 17 year old detainee Friday 19th miraculously escaped from cells at the Criminal Investigation department (CID).
Alimamy Kakay, who recently was arrested in Lunsar for the offence of robbery, was transferred to CID Freetown for further investigation.
The escape of Alimamy, we are told, seemed suspicious and has raised eyebrows over the unexplainable conducts of some disloyal police men.
Sources say Alimamy’s break out came after police officers on duty forgetfully paid greater attention on other suspects, leaving the former loose.
He is said to have cunningly passed through an iron bar window and made his way out.
Alimamy, who was arrested alongside other notorious robbers on the Lunsar/ Masiaka high way, was later turned down to the CID HQ in Freetown on grounds of safety.
It could be recalled that provincial passengers and upland business people have had encounters of arm robbery attacks for almost three months now.
This, to Sierra Leoneans, is of national concern and therefore warrants police highest intervention.
The escape of Alimamy has been attributed as neglect on the part of the police.
Sources say Alimamy’s escape has left minds of residents of Lunsar/Masiaka in fear.
Unconfirmed information reaching this press states how CID officers have had their hands into deep conspiracy with persons accused for committing crimes.
