African Minerals appoint Head of Corporate Development and Investor Relations

African Minerals Limited has announced the appointment of  Mr. Michael Jones as Head of Corporate Development and Investor Relations.

Michael has over 25 years in the mining industry, and graduated from Royal School of Mines – Imperial College, London with a BSc. in Mining Engineering.  He moved into mining operations in South Africa, initially with Gencor where he achieved Mine Management status, then into De Beers in various senior management roles throughout southern Africa.  Mike then moved to Iscor (now Kumba) as Consulting Mining Engineer and into base metal projects in the Congo (DRC) and Zambia.  He returned to the UK in 1997, and joined Canaccord Genuity as a mining analyst before being appointed as Global Co-Head of Mining, Corporate Finance.
