AIK joy crazy: Bangura absolutely wonderful
AIK Solna finally keep their space in the Swedish Allsvenkan next season after a wonderful display at home in their Råsunda arena after a 2-0 victory against Elfsborg on today with goals scored by Sierra Leonean Mohamed Pobosky Bangura and younger star Viktor Lundberg in the 50th and 75th minutes respectively.
“It feels wonderful,” explained excited Viktor Lundberg.
“It was a huge relief for the AIK fans in the crowd of 11,670 spectators. We are satisfied with the victory,” continued Lundberg as he picked up his team mate Bangura.
“AIK’s nightmare season, is in fact over,” said Viktor. Bangura played great. And after tonight’s win over Elfsborg the Stockholm side is finally safe from relegation, that is if Atvidaberg slips.
The six goals scored by Sierra Leonean Mohamed Bangura in the Swedish league this season also contributed to saving AIK from the drop. He’s a great player, what can I say? Watch yourself,” says Kenny Pavey.
Atvidaberg is still a small threat, but they must win against Mjällby tomorrow and beat AIK in the final round and take in eleven goals in goal difference.
As usual, it was Mohamed Bangura who showed the way for AIK.
Elfsborg chased acknowledgment and created a few chances – but with fifteen minutes left could Råsunda audience relax.
“Really nice. We were struggling tremendously throughout the match,” said Lundberg. “You should remember that we faced a good team. We played a good football – all were on top.”
