Leone Stars team mates collide
Two Sierra Leoneans will be facing each other this Sunday in the Nowegian Tippeligaen division in a vital and tricky football contest. Leone Stars new boy Alfred Sankoh of Stromsgodset and Umaru Zaingallya Bangura playing his trade with Honefoss BK, both side going into Sunday’s league game losing their last two league encounter to the top two teams in the Norwegian top division Rosenborg and Valerenga respectivly.
Bangura is an automatic starter now for the Sierra Leone National side; He made his senior international debut for the Leone Stars against Togo in a 2008 African Nations Cup qualifier played in Freetown.
While, Sankoh made his debut against 2010 world cup host South Africa in Freetown in the 2012 Afcon qualifiers.
This encounter according to the league table will be more interesting as Honefoss BK are fighting to avoid demotion, they are presently fourteenth in the league table with 24 points from 27 matches. Any defeat will be doomed bearing in mind their present league stand is poor, while Stromsgodset are comfortable presently at mid table but will be at home more comfortable in front of their home fans.
Both players represented Sierra Leone against South Africa in Freetown in the race to Gabon, Equitorial Guinea African Nations Cup 2012.
