The Former Boom FC play maker made this disclosure a few days after his countrymen failed to defeat South Africa at home and take the lead in Group G, but Parade was quick to point out that he was impressed with his country’s display against Egypt and South Africa.

“The result in Egypt and at home against South Africa is a well notable one,” he told SierraExpress.com in the United Kingdom just a few days after the clash in Freetown. “But we know the rest of the group matches are going to be very tough, especially matches away from home, the rest of the teams are very good, we just can’t underrated Niger anymore after their massive result against the Africa Champions.”

He pointed out, that Niger defeated Sierra Leone in their time in Niamey 4-2 but lost in Freetown 5-1 for the 1996 Nations Cup

Parade, who has been involved in a fair few qualification battles in these same competitions, advised the current team to focus on one game at a time.

“They have to play one game at a time and make sure they win as many as possible because now South Africa is leading the group Egypt will be coming to their next encounter with a very strong to will to win matches.”
