Zain enhances communication specifically for the youth
Sierra Leone’s leading and most attractive telecommunications company, Zain Sierra Leone is leading the race for the youth segment with the all-in-one attractive service called the Youth Offer, to further consolidate the already huge and established youth market it is commanding.
According to the company officials, this is still first of its kind in Sierra Leone in that it is segmented to specifically focus on the country’s youthful population, attracting them to both voice and data communication, which could be easily affordable amidst the economic down-turn. Zain is positioned as the leading company in both voice and data services and this emphasizes the attractive nature of the Youth Offer.
This product has allowed calls to be made to other Zain subscribers at no cost for a couple of hours for the day and the highest tariff to be paid per minute will be 6 units. Subscribers would also be able to browse the internet, using their web-enabled phones for as low as ten units per MegaByte. This service would be available to the public on the 20th April 2010.
Due to the attractive nature of the company’s products and coverage it commands, Zain has grown significantly in terms of numbers of subscribers and this lead is expected to be sustainable due to the new owners’ promise of making telecommunications very much affordable.
