No dice Mr. Minister – Library Board is on track

The name, Minkailu Bah, seemingly represents viruses damaging as those found humiliating computer machines of individuals; the Raila Odinga Virus.

Not far from the truth, the Education Minister, Minkailu Bah, disappointedly engaged respectable board members of the Sierra Leone Library Board, ordering and threatening them refrain exposing criminal conducts of his ‘blue eye boy’ Sallieu Turay.

Attention is drawn to piles of correspondence exchanged between the Education Permanent Secretary and the Chairman of the Board of Sierra Leone Library.

Such, as observed, was due to Minister Minkailu’s total discourteous adherence to laws as told in books of this country.

To say but the least, it was shaming of a man who says he is the Minister of Education yet conspiratorially operates shadily with persons embalmed as overindulging into weighty corruption conducts.

Readers will agree with Sierra Express Media that in 2009, containers of expensive text books were donated to Sierra Leone by Children International; an organization that is based in the United States.

The books, once arrived at the port of Sierra Leone, were diverted somewhere unknown.

To Sierra Leoneans, it was of concern that books offered for use by schools have been converted to the benefits of unscrupulous individuals of society; so to say, Sallieu Turay and Minister Minkailu Bah.

Of course, it is no secret that the Education Minister bears hand to the uncalled for disappearance of almost three containers of the donated books.

In fact, correspondences as exchanged between the Education Ministry and Library Board, makes blatant, Minkailu Bah’s incapacity to be called the Minister of such a Ministry.

Again, it would appear as if Minister Minkailu has no interest in the development of education in this country.

Citation qualifying President Koroma’s Education Minister denunciations, have been authoritatively explained in correspondence sent to Board Members of Sierra Leone Library by Education Ministry on the instructions of the forenamed Minister, threatening official reversed decision against Sallieu Turay, who, according to findings, was pivot to the disappearance of 46,650 books shipped in four containers for school going children countrywide.

While we take a pause to continue in our next publication, we have been urged to refer to page 22 of the Statutory Instrument of Local Government assumption of function regulation 2004, which makes clear that the establishment of Board Members, Supervisory Monitoring and Training of Staff of Library Board, as at 2007, is the responsibility of Local Government and not Education Ministry.

To this, we at Sierra Express Media articulate government enactment of an Anti Corruption investigation to enable book persons found culpable of corruption involvement face the wrath of the law.

Yes, it has reached this press that Sallieu brags having the Education Minister by his side and will have no fear for anyone.

Pay back time is come; Sierra Leoneans have asked for ACC’s swift intervention in the investigation of the disappearance of 46,650 books.
