Music star produces 50th Anniversary song
As Sierra Leone’s 50th anniversary of Independence draws near, a Sierra Leonean UK based musician, Mohamed Saheid Kamara aka D-Saheid, has produced a song that will colourfully add flavor to government’s wholehearted intentions in the making of such a day better celebrated.
In an interview at his Brookfields residence, D-Sahied revealed how his song is a contribution to the 50th anniversary celebration; calling all to support in the rebuilding and branding of Sierra Leone.
“The South African 2010 World Cup experience taught us the essence of entertainment and it attracts international attention,” D-Sahied said. He added, “Sierra Leoneans at home and abroad should by whatever means do all they can to grace the 50th independence anniversary of their home land.”
He noted further that the Afro-beat song titled “CRY NO MORE SALONE” was produced in collaboration with popular singer tagged “the next hero” of DEFF UNIT.
The song, he revealed, was recorded at the Forensic Recording Studio in Freetown and will toe the line with other Sierra Leonean songs to be produced by locally based musicians.
D-Sahied, we are told, recently came out with popular afro-beat albums titled “FIBA ME PADI and FIBA ME PADI”.
Songs in the forenamed albums are said to have been receiving a lot of play at respective radio stations across the country, as well as at other entertainment centers around the world, such as the United Kingdom and America who enjoy the good taste of the albums every day.
