Fears ACC… Allieu Sesay’s File Missing?
Bombshell: case file of suspended National Revenue Authority Commissioner, Allieu Sesay (in photo), is allegedly missing in drawers of officials of the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC).
Allieu Sesay, whose suspension was marred with allegations of corruption and overindulgences, was among the list of top public officers investigated by the ACC.
The investigation of Allieu Sesay commenced shortly after the resignation of Abdul Tejan Cole as Commissioner ACC.
Sources within the ACC say the breakthrough of facts leading to the missing case file of Allieu Sesay came weeks after the announcement of the newly appointed ACC Commissioner was made.
It could be recalled that the press in 2007, loudly called on government to cause ACC investigate allegations of corruption against persons in positions of trust.
Reflections must also be drawn to an armed robbery attack on the office of the NRA which saw the advent of computers being carted away by the overrunning thieves.
The attack on NRA was said to have been orchestrated by persons being investigated by the ACC. That armed robbers attacked NRA not for money but for information in computers of officials of organization.
The ACC Commissioner, Joseph Kamara, who, after his appointment, enthusiastically demanded for case files under investigation, got a shock when he noticed that case files of very sensitive matters were missing.
This press was reliably told that case file of Allieu Sesay is not among the few tendered to the ACC Boss.
Sources say the ACC Boss has called for the handing over of all files under investigation or will institute investigation against persons charged with such responsibility.
