Marcel sent off as they went down 3-1
Sierra Leone’s international big central defender, Ibrahim Marcel Koroma (in photo) nicknamed after French/Ghanaian born Marcel Desailly was sent off in the 85th minute for a bad tackle when his Trelleborg team went down 3-1 against Atvidaberg on the 25th September, in the highest level of the Swedish league, Allsvenkan.
“Atvidaberg’s dream start with a goal after three minutes paved the way for three important points to climb up from the bottom of the battle. Atvidaberg is absolutely fifth from bottom right now; they have a good chance to go out, “ said Trelleborg’s coach Tom Prahl.
Paul Roiha was the man behind Atvidaberg’s early success, he netted the first goal of the day the third minute into play; a perfect ball from Kristian Bergström to Roiha who hit the ball between Trelleborg post to open his account on the night.
A really neat result of Andreas Drugge led to level the score 1-1 in the first quarter of the game, in the 54th minute Oscar Moller key’s ball gave Atvidaberg the lead again after a long depth running got the ball past Trelleborg’s goalkeeper. Seven minutes later the match was punctuated by Daniel Hallingström which brought the final result to 3-1.
Atvidaberg brought home three extremely important points in the ground battle. And with AIK’s loss against Helsingborg could Atvidaberg now bypass the Stockholm team and move down AIK by taking the qualifying spot.
“Two victories will be enough for us to hang on and we will ensure that clear,” said the Finnish striker Paulus Roiha.
Koroma’s Trelleborg will face Malmo Sunday October 3 in front of the home fans.
