Le 20 M for Police children
In what was called an historic moment in the lives of needy children of Ross Road Police Barracks, hundreds of parents witnessed the donation of learning materials ranging from books, pens, pencils, rulers, sharpeners, bags of rice and bundles of water to over 100 school going kids.
The donation estimated at Le 20 million was made to school going children of Ross Road Police Barracks Saturday 25th.
In her statement, the Operations Officer Ross Road Police, ASP Hilary Sao Kanu, lauded the efforts of a philanthropist, Mr. Albarak Turker, for having in his vision, the need to help children in the augmentation of society for future development.
She therefore called on the kids to make good use of the learning materials as there are other people yearning for such gesture but have not got same.
It was revealed that donation was made possible due to the initiative of the LUC Ross Road Police, CSP Fayia Sellu.
That due to the LUC’s requests, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DMS Group, Mr. Albarak Turker, resolved at laudably donating items as forenamed to school going children residing of Ross Road Barracks.
In his sayings, Mr. Albarak Turker noted that DMS Group recently donated to 500 children of the Rokel Community learning materials.
He maintained that his company intends to visit communities at provincial level to make donations of such.
The LUC Ross Road Police, CSP Fayia Sellu, in his closing remarks said he is grateful to DMS Group for adhering to his request.
