Le100m bail for Bank Fraud

Abu Bakarr Sesay, working at the National Revenue Authority, Mohamed Sesay, a dismissed police officer, Herbert Palmer, Daniel Thompson and Eugene Lansana, all workers of the Sierra Leone Commercial Bank were yesterday granted bail in the sum of Le100,000,000 by Magistrate Wellington of the Freetown Magistrate Court No. 2 on their second appearance on a thirty-five count charge of conspiracy to defraud, forgery, uttering and larceny.

Bail was grated in like sum plus two sorties each who must be house owners and senior citizens of this country and their title deeds to be approved by a credible valuator. Bail must be approved by the Master and Register.

The matter was adjourned for today, Tuesday 7th September.

Also, all accused persons must surrender their passports and all necessary documents to the court.

They were earlier refused bail on their first appearance last Friday.
