Sierra Leonean kids say meeting Nwankwo Kanu is ‘greatest gift’
Two Sierra Leonean kids expressed their excitement at meeting Premier League Club Portsmouth striker, Nwankwo Kanu.
Foday Sesay and Ibrahim Sorie Sesay say it was their best experience meeting the Nigerian superstar at a shopping centre at Brent Cross, North West London, where the footballer had gone for shopping.
The shopping centre – one of the most expensive and biggest shopping centres in London, is very closed to the kids North West London residence.
“It was our best experience since we came to London about 18 months ago,” said the kids shortly after their meeting with the Nigerian superstar.
Foday met Nwankwo and requested for a snap shot, but with no camera at that time, he pleaded with the player to wait for him to whilst he went to fetch his camera from his home nearby.
Foday rushed home, collected the camera and brought along his younger brother Sorie to join him.
They described the photo with Nwankwo as ‘a memorable gift and one big moment of our lives.’
