No case against Sam-Sumana!

Tangible information made available to Sierra Express clears the Vice President of the Republic of all charges on the grounds that the case against the VP filed in the Court of Arkansas has no merit and was thus dismissed without prejudice.
The civil suit filed against the VP had made many rounds in the Sierra Leone media, some asking that he be axed as such acclaimed criminal standing does not augur well for the good name and image of the country.
Vice President Samuel Sam-Sumana an ex-businessman, who ever since the case came; had proclaimed his innocence, has now been finally exonerated with all charges dropped against him in a memo to the court signed by plaintiff lawyer James Westlake.
To a very large extent, opposition media in the country had insisted on the criminality of the case, advancing arguments as to why the Vice President must not be is such a legal tussle and still serves as state man in the guise of the Vice President. In a recent letter to the President of the Republic, Chairman of the Opposition People’s Party John Oponjo Benjamin made reference to the case charging the President’s silence on the matter failing to note that the case had long been thrown out since November 3rd this year.
The involvement of the Vice President in the American base timber export company Taakor has been met with very ugly reactions from some section of the media tagging the VP to be still involved in the daily dispensations of the company but documents made available to SEM from the office of the Administrator General proves that the VP, ever since his appointment to statesmanship washed his hands clean from the company by officially divesting his stake in 2007.      Â
The Vice President has been a target of bad press in recent times for what most media gurus have termed as his poor public relations and lackluster approach to issue pertaining his name and office.
