PMDC in court today

The Peoples Movement for Democratic Change (PMDC) will today again appear in the high court of Sierra Leone in relation to the ongoing matter between the leader of the party, Mr. Charles Margai (in photo) and the suspended Chairman, Mohamed Bangura.

In an interview with the Chairman, Bangura said they will make another appearance in court before Justice Vivian Solomon.

According to the chairman, the matter was thrown out of court before Justice Brown Marke because there was no writ of seal document before the court, which means it was thrown out of court on technicalities and not on the substance of the matter.

Bangura disclosed that his lawyer has filed another motion properly and this time they will appear before Justice Vivian Solomon.

As the leader of the party, Mr. Margai has been served and he believed that Mr. Margi will surely appear in court today, Bangura assured this reporter.

Commenting on the future of the party, Bangura had this to say, “This is will not split the PMDC; I am in court to seek justice and I am confident to say that I will win the case against Mr. Margai.”

He added that the PMCD does not believe in fighting, the reason why he is in court, which is to seek redress on the party constitution so that the matter can be addressed by the court.

“For now we are putting things ahead of 2012 as I believed PMDC will win the election,” Chairman Bangura added.
