Police vow to end cult movements

The Central Police Station has vowed to put an end to the rate of cliques and cult groups that are now championing criminal activities throughout the country.

As a result, on the 13th July 2010 at about 4:30 pm, six youths were arrested for robbery with intent by Detective Ishmael Samura of the Central Police Station.

According to the detective police officer, the suspects, Edmond Sesay, Mohamed Bangura, Ibrahim Conteh, Abubakarr Sama, Sullay Koroma, Foday Bangura and Lamin Conteh belonging to both the Red and Blue Flag movement robbed one Famata Jalloh of her two SIM mobile phones at A.J Momoh Street, central Freetown.

Detective Samura noted that in the process of robbing Famata, one of the said persons bit the finger of the woman. The matter has been speedily charged to court.

In another development, Crime Officer, Ross Road Police Station, I.B Tucker has informed this medium that a USA investor has been duped $11, 000.  The said investor is said to have given the money to purported business associates to buy items for him but on arrival into the country he could find any stock.

The business partners, it is revealed, ended up issuing fake $5,000 notes to the investor who lodged a complaint with the police and the notes are now in custody of the Bank of Sierra Leone for further verifications

The suspects were detained but fifteen minutes later they mysteriously disappeared from police custody. The matter has been reported to the CDIID for further investigation.

  • One thing that boarders me most is the fact the almost 80 percents of people involved in criminal activisties are have nothing names. Is this the new way of operation in SL: I have been noticing this for some time now when ever to go through some news from home. Please brothers and sisters don’t be offended because I am also from the north but this is my feeling.
