Afsatu Trial: ACC rests Case

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) closes the case of the prosecution in the ongoing trial of the former Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources Afsatu Kabba before Justice Samuel Ademusu of the Freetown High court after leading all prosecution witnesses in the matter. Just after the 14th witness that was supposed to be the last witness in the trial yesterday took the witness stand; the one additional witness was about to testify when the lead defense counsel JB Jenkins Johnston told the court that according to the indictment, the prosecution has called all its witnesses in the matter and that if the prosecution should call on additional witnesses, notice must be served to the defense therein.

The prosecution agreed to the injunction and agreed to serve the notice before the witness is called to the stand  as the case of the prosecution reaches conclusion.
