APC NA Minnesota Chapter Inaugurated

The Minnesota Chapter is the first Chapter to be inaugurated by Chairman Aziz Turay and his new administration. The inauguration ceremony which took place in Minnesota on Saturday May 5, 2010, was graced by the APC Party National Secretary General, Hon Victor Bockarie Foh; the Honorable Dauda Tombo Bangura; the Sierra Leone Ambassador to Liberia and Ivory Coast, Madam Marie Barnnet; a cross-section of members of the current executive as well as representatives from other political parties.

Among other things, the Minnesota Chapter President, Mr. Alpha Kargbo and his members, organized and conducted the event in a manner that left an indelible impression on the minds of attendees as one of the best occasions the NA branch has ever graced. The sumptuous meals, the honor and praises showed on our executive members who were present; the music and the love shared by everyone, were things to be proud of and appreciated.

Chairman Aziz Turay’s speech called for hard work, appreciation, steadfastness and for an unwavering commitment in the pursuit of success for our party and our nation. He emphasized very strongly on the call by our leader for attitudinal change, which is key in our efforts to bring lasting peace and progress in the NA branch, in the APC party in particular, and to the entire nation of Sierra Leone.     

The honorable Victor Foh took the night with his usual appealing disposition as he called on all members of the NA branch to imbibe the rudiments of peace, unity and hard work for the sake of our party and our nation. He also conveyed the president’s love and appreciation for the NA branch and his desire to see that peace continues to saturate our membership and everything we do. Mr. Foh also stated clearly that the party recognizes this current executive as the legitimately elected body and he vowed to work with this administration in its efforts to promote the agenda of the party and that of the leader, Dr. Earnest Bai Koroma.

The Minnesota Chapter president, Mr. Alpha Kargbo, gave a similar message, which calls for unity, peace and team work. By and large, the event was a great success not only for the Minnesota Chapter but also for the entire membership of the APC North America and our country, Sierra Leone. Every member of the NA branch should be encouraged by this show of love and appreciation by a group of people who are dedicated to pursuing socio-economic development and good governance for the nation of Sierra Leone.

On behalf of the administration, and on my personal behalf, I want to thank the president and members of the Minnesota Chapter for a job well done; and to pray that the good Lord continue to bless and motivate us in our endeavor to bring lasting peace to our branch.
