A British owned institution called Crown International College based in London has established its college programmes to a cross section of students and invitees at the British Council June 4th on Tower Hill, Freetown.

Speaking  to the students, the Director of Studies at the college Dr. Prince A Cummings expressed that Crown College is a London college with experience in providing management and performance transformation training to talented and ambitious people all over the world.

The range of executive courses offered at the Crown College have been specifically crafted for the college by a team of seasoned and highly qualified practitioners who have both senior academic and management experience. Contributors to our courses come from a wide range of disciplines and have had firsthand experience in developing promising executives and helping them face the challenge of international competitive environment, he stated.

He maintained that Crown College specializes in creating bespoke courses for companies, industry, associations, foreign government and public sector intuitions.

Dr Cummings disclosed that their philosophy is to run courses for small groups of executives, with the aim of optimizing the learning opportunity and thus achieving better results over a shorter period of time. “We want our alumni to go back to work and able to make contribution to the performance of the employing organization. We create an atmosphere which is conducive to reflection and to acquiring a balance of skills, strategy and practice” said Director Cummings.

He continued to express that the extension of the college link to Sierra Leone is to extend the opportunity to interested students in the country where they know that there are many potential students here who would like to earn a British education at an affordable cost.

He added that the primary reason for the open day program at the British Council is to give the students the enabling environment to discuss with them and see how best they can help students achieve their dream in getting affordable British education.

Presently he said the college has 26 full time lecturers; they offer courses on Administration and Management, Leadership and Management, Computer Science and ICT, Hospitality and Tourism Management, and an Association of Business Executive courses including post graduate diploma in all the above measured courses.

He disclosed that his college is amongst the grade one colleges in London accredited by the London institutes Commission. Dr. Cummings said that the college is presently enrolling up to 800 students cut across Africa, Asia, Britain and Cambrians. He stated that the entry requirement is the normal entry requirement of UK relevant exams.

Students who want to apply to study any of the courses should have £7,200 in their account before a visa can be given to him or her.

He finalized stating that the college has been in operation for six years now and as such has produced lots of successful students who are doing well in the wider world.
