U-20: Sierra Leone Invite 26 Players To Camp
Coach Alimamy K-foot Turay has invited 26-players to camp ahead of Sierra Leone’s match-up against the Fennecs of Algeria in the 2011 U-20 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Head Coach of the Sierra Leone national U-20 team, Alimamy K-foot Turay has invited 26-players to camp at the Football Academy Kingtom ahead of their clash against the Fennecs of Algeria in the 2011 U-20 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Sierra Leone’s Shooting Stars will host Algeria on Saturday April 17 in Freetown in the first leg encounter before going for the return leg in a fortnight.
According to Coach Turay, it was not an easy task for him to make the final 26-man selection, adding that he had to select the best out of the best.
 “Making final selection is always a difficult job for coach as you want to select the best that would best represent the country, I also have to make a final 20 man selection.“ stated Coach Turay.
Furthermore, the coach confirmed that his selection was done based on the player’s performance in training sessions, local friendly matches and player attitudes. Â
