ABC goes National

The office of the Attitudinal and Behavioral Change Secretariat set up in 2007, has been for the past three years propagating the vision of the president Ernest Bia Koroma’s “Attitudinal and Behavioral Change” for the betterment of our country and will soon open regional offices in Makeni, Bo, Kono and Lunsar.

Speaking to this press, the ABC Director Mr. Philip Conteh (in photo) expressed profound thanks and appreciation to London Mining Limited which boosted his secretariat with the sum of $200,000 for the effective running of the ABC secretariat. He added that his secretariat has done lots of sensitization in the western area by applying the top to bottom approach. He added that his duty is quite an uneasy one but stated that he has “made some successes.”

He continued to express that all the regional offices will house three staff and as time went by more will be added. Mr. Conteh said that these staff will serve as missionaries of change to all those areas to see that the president’s call for altitudinal change is embraced by the people living in those areas.

Mr. Conteh thanked various organizations which have been working closely with his secretaries in making the president’s vision come to reality. “I believe that Sierra Leone will only develop if Sierra Leoneans are ready to embrace change of positive behavior in their work place, to one another, and to the country as a whole,” he said.

The soft spoken director ended his talk by sending a message through this medium to all and sundry that “Attitude is everything, let us change our attitude and surely our life will change for the better’.
