Osman Kamara and 20 others detained
The operation team of ‘B’ division which is under the command of ASP Hillary Sao Kanu has arrested one Osman Kamara of 97 Guard Street and 20 others for loitering with intent, unlawful possession of marijuana and frequent. LUC of the B Division Fayia William Sellu pointed out that all 21 were arrested on Tuesday May 25th 2010, when his operation team conducted an early morning dawn raid in ghettoes like Campala at lower Savage Square, Boom at Cline Town and Horse Shoe Road at ferry dock yard.
The deputy operation officer dilated in detail of how these thieves lay ambush for people at night to rob them of their valuable properties. Inspector Michael Lagga noted that when the police arrive in ghettoes they took to their heels underlining that the criminals at Campala ghetto whilst on the run remarked that they will prepare local petrol bomb to cause grievous bodily harm on police because of the frequent raids the police at ‘B’ division is conducting on ghettoes.
According to Inspector Lagga, the police at ‘B’ division are more determined to pursue such raids vigorously in spite of their threat. “We will hunt them until they give up their trade if not they will find another business to do†Inspector Lagga said stoutly. Among those arrested are Mohamed Alieu Barrie, of Yams Farm Yaraba Sesay, of No. 5 Cassell Farm, Momoh S. Kargbo, of No. 18c Hook Street, Moriba Koroma of No. 3 Horse Shoe Road, Alieu Kabia of Moyiba, Kemoh Savage, of No. 19 Scotland Street Alieu Thomas of No. 5 Abrom Street, Saleiu Jalloh, of Easton Street, Saidu Carew of 2a Boom by Cline Town, Mohamed Kargbo of No. 5 Fourah Bay Road Mamadu Bah of 7 Fourah Bay Road, Mohamed Jalloh of Ladner Street, Lamin Kamara, Saidu Kamara Yirra Keita, Foday B. Bangura, of 20 Adlophus Street and Rugiatu Kamara of No. 3 Horse Shoe road, for obstruction.
