Obituary Hassan Dumbuya
The All People’s Congress (APC) Party is saddened to announce the death of Comrade Hassan Dumbuya, also known as Evangelist Samson, whose death the Sierra Leone Police has confirmed in their Press Statement of 15th August 2022.
According to the police statement, he was killed by security forces in Makeni on 14th August 2022. This was also confirmed by the British Broadcasting Cooperation (BBC) Report and eyewitnesses accounts.
This latest incident of the killing of Evangelist Samson came about amidst reports over concerns of continuing extra judicial killings or disappearances of Sierra Leoneans and members of the All People’s Congress (APC) Party after the August 10 protests across the country.
The Party expresses its sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family of Evangelist Samson for this great loss.
As the country continues to call for the establishment of independent and impartial investigations into the August 8-10 incidences of protests, the Party hereby demands for the release of the remains of our fallen Comrade to the family for a befitting burial.
May the soul of Samson and all souls departed in these unfortunate incidents rest in perfect peace.
