Stakeholders ask Alpha Timbo to resign from the Primier League Board

A group of football stakeholders in the Africell sponsored premier league have ask the chairman of the premier league board to resign his post as chairman of the board. The stakeholders came up with this concern after the chairman declared for the SLPP flag bearer. Alpha Timbo former SLTU president and former Minister of Labour was appointed as chairman after his brilliant performance as Mighty Blackpool Chairman. Timbo who has been chairman for just two seasons declared to be the SLPP flag bearer a few days ago. These stakeholders said one cannot do the two jobs perfectly well.  And besides the football association which is why they want to distant it from politics. But some of the stakeholders think it different as they say it is too early to ask Timbo to resign. One of them said Timbo has done a very good job for the past two seasons and beside they have only one month for the league to end. He said they should allow Timbo to complete his assignment may be he will come up with a statement about that.

But forcing him to resign is very unfair the stakeholders said. Meanwhile efforts by this press to contact Timbo for a comment have proved futile unto press time.
