Live With The Mentality Of A Lion And Believe In Yourself
The course to succeed in life is a key objective everyone wishes to achieve. But what happens? The presence of fear and absence of courage allow us to forgo our dreams and do the unnecessary. If we begin to think like a lion by not relying on other people to actualize our aims, by taking responsibility, ownership and action, by fighting for the freedom to become the persons we want to be and by becoming kings and queens of the jungle then, success is said to be achieved. A lion has no extraordinary advantage over other animals nor is it the biggest or fastest animal in the world, but its mentality and belief in its ability make the lion King of the Jungle. The lion never gives up, it never gives in even if it is surrounded by thousands of hyenas.
The fight is never over until it’s over. Learn to believe in yourself. Say I can if others could. The lack of self-confidence lures potential dreamers from scoring their goals. In life, the best person to spend the most time with is yourself, so try to be as interesting as you could. Greatness does not come overnight, and no one is born great. Great people become great when others are sleeping.
Life is full of challenges, and series of trials are involved especially when you try to achieve greatness. You will find stones thrown at you by those you least expect; but honestly, it depends on what you make from them – a wall or a bridge. No matter what you do, how you look like, who you are etc. You always have critics, naysayers, enemies, or merely oppositions to your life; that’s natural. Don’t look over them, but rather overlook them. The reason why the eyes are placed in front is to look forward not backward.
Often in life, you encounter failure; that should not stop you from being who or what you wish like becoming. You won’t be perfect the first time you follow your career path. Barrack Obama says, “You don’t have to let your failures define you, you have to let your failures teach you “.
Don’t ever give upon yourself even when people have given up on you. Just be focused and have your priorities. Again, never try to compete with others because everyone is running their own race. You must first dream before your dreams come true. You may be a slow walker, but don’t quit.
Frankly, when you believe in yourself, believe in your ability, you avoid such a defeatist mentality.
The difference between school and life is that inn school, you are taught before given a test; in life, you are given a test that teaches you a lesson. So, be prepared to face the worst in meeting the best. You don’t have to be great to start; you must start to be great. Moreover, you can only know the value of hard work by working hard. You are the architect of your future and king of the jungle. Always remember to live with the mentality of the lion and believe in yourself.
