Trying To Please Orders From Above Police Boss Implicates Himself

In the presence of quite a good number of members of the Forth Estates, Sierra Express Media (SEM) made an extensive coverage where the Inspector General of Police, Dr. Richard Moigbe  (in photo) revealed with anger that the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) had wanted to grant bail to the detained retired Major Alfred Palo Conteh but has refused due to the unnecessary tension caused by members and supporters of the main opposition party, All Peoples Congress (APC). It was under serious questioning that he further uttered that he should have been released on the 29th December, 2018, but that they were setting preference.

However, the IG applauded the media as being a strong ally and key to holistic security of this country, after stressing on the point that his primary assignment as the Head of the SLP is to make sure Sierra Leone is safe and peaceful as we have been rated as number one in West Africa and number three in Africa in terms of peaceful coexistence. Gibril Bangura’s posts on Social Media were considered as inciting messages by Moigbe.

As was mandated by the IG, the National Scribe of the All Peoples Congress (APC), Ambassador Alhaji Dr. Osman Foday Yansaneh, denounced Gibril Bangura’s animosity, as APC did not call for demonstration at all. In a rather confident mood, he categorically outlined that their party is not going to subject to anything that is not within the confines of the Law. He hypothesized that rules of evidence should be included and those who have been deprived of their livelihoods should also report to Sierra Leone. In conclusion, Dr. Yansaneh highlighted that the APC is not disobeying anybody, pinpointed that the Constitution is the most important document, and assured the people of this country that their party is far from violence.

In a nut shell, IG Moigbe affirmed, and I quote, “As the internal Head of Security in this country, I cannot take this issue lightly. I have called on the Police to embark on aggressive patrols nationwide. I consider the APC Secretary General’s Press Release as incitement to rebellion. Any element trying to reverse the peaceful coexistence in our country would not be accepted. I am assuring the media that I will bring that idiot that calls himself Gibril Bangura to this country through Interpol for spreading such rebellious messages on  Social Media. If the outcome of the APC Secretary General’s Press Release causes any hindrance towards the peace of this land, he takes full responsibility. He will damn the day and swallow the hour. Thank God I have been in disagreement with him long ago when they were in Governance. If he does anything funny, I will arrest him”
