Orogu Bridge Is A Death Trap – Strasser Calls On Bio for Help

The bridge from Grafton leading to Orogu Village, Allentown Freetown is a death trap. The people of the Orogu community are suffering to access their market and other facilities due to the deplorable condition of that deadly bridge since the 2016 rainy season, which destroyed houses, properties and lives that were involved during that heavy rainfall which led to the cutoff of the bridge.

Some of the house owners at Orogu village who were at their various selling points at Grafton are appealing to the government of Sierra Leone for help so that the deadly bridge will not get hold of lives.

Both communities are constrained to get to each other in doing business, even the school going children that are passing through that deadly bridge are taking high risks. Those that have vehicles are using far distance to connect to the Grafton Regent Road.

The former Head of State, Captain Valentine E. M Strasser is kindly calling on President Bio to help the people of Orogu community so that they can connect to the highway of Grafton, even though he is not currently using his vehicle to pass through that deadly trap of a bridge.  He continued by saying even the young children that are going to school in the morning are normally taken through the bridge by their parents for their safety.

Captain Strasser finally said that if the President wants to help him, he should extend the help to his community so that the people also get a taste of the help not only him, and that his people are his main concern.  It is necessary that the road is accessible to vehicles and other transport facilities to connect to each other and that he is not asking for too much but only that from the government.
