As Economic Hardship Intensifies Citizens Languish In Hunger
Pertinent to exclusive interviews conducted by Sierra Express Media across the country, the people of this nation are heatedly unleashing their concerns amidst the unbearable economic hardships they are going through, especially when very few within the political cabal are amassing the wealth of this nation. People are making comparison between the past APC regime and the ruling SLPP government, with special reference to the song “Tolongbo nor go sidong ya angri borku ooh”. According to them, a new track should be composed with the title “Now PAOPA dong sidong but dae angri dong pass mak ooh”.
During random sampling interviews, quite a good number of the Grassroots were expressing their genuine concerns over the skyrocketed increase in prices of even our local food stuff amongst others. “During trade, it is the final consumers that bear the brunt. It is so because the producers, wholesalers and retailers normally transfer the burdens of taxation to the buyers of such commodities. Even when there is no price control, the negative impacts will also be felt by the final consumers because the businessman is not running his /her business at a loss. Profit maximization is the primary essence of running an enterprise. We overwhelmingly voted the SLPP for a positive change but by the look of things, it seems as if the change is from bad to worst”. They said.
However, the commoners are still referring to the President’s manifesto when he was struggling for the mantle of leadership that his government has what it takes at the twinkle of an eye to stabilize the battered economy, but unfortunately since they have taken up governance the economy is still dwindling in a rather devastating state. In a nut shell, the suffering masses are drawing the attention of government functionaries that they are in the festive season but nothing seems to be working in their favour.
