The clarion call of most citizens is that such an act is not only demeaning, but also jeopardizes our democracy. The issue of attacking the past Government personalities has become so much unbearable by the majority. People are saying that this particular government of President Bio is completely missing the point. Instead of them concentrating on how to address the recent burning issue of skyrocketed prices of basic food stuff, they are wasting their strengths on attacking au untainted personality like Paolo Conteh- the rigid and patriotic Sierra Leonean who has contributed immensely in reducing the crime rates among young people especially the clique boys and some of the unruly bike riders.
As part of his punishment from this Junta regime, soldiers and police Officers were vigorously sent to unceremoniously raid Paolo Conteh’s house at Wilberforce this Saturday Morning. However, she has promised to keep war is medium posted when she gets on to him. When spoken to different neighbours of Paolo Conteh at Wilberforce, it was revealed that they felt threatened by that unpleasant scene which seemed scary. They said those ugly scenes reminded them of that senseless 11 years civil war when the Kamajors, AFRC, RUF, SLA and ECOMOG took to their heels.
Neither the Honourable Member of Parliament- Abubakarr Foday Sillah of Constituency 128 was not allowed to have witnessed that worrisome incident nor were Journalists, Civil Society Activists entertained for the sake of coverage. The interviewed neighboring community asserted.
By every indication, the PAOPA regime is just leading us to the misdirected obsolete style of autocratic leadership.
