EDSA Alagba In Meter Scam
Reliable information reaching this press has revealed that a senior management staff of the Ministry of Energy at Pademba Road Office, Mr. Richard Lawson is involved in an alleged meter scam.
According to allegations coming from one Madam Kobe, a Nurse attached at the Solobe Community Health Clinic, Calaba town in Freetown, she gave Mr. Richard Lawson the sum of Le 1,300,000.00 (0ne Million Three Hundred Thousand Leones only), sometime late last year for an EDSA Prepaid meter.
According to Madam Kadie Kobe, on diverts dates, personnel working for the Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) have been extorting her money on the grounds that the meter has a direct illegal system.
Madam Kobe maintained that she has reported the matter at EDSA office to one Mr. Cole who is directly responsible for investigations of faulty meter at the authority.
Mr. Cole was displeased with such allegation as Senior Head of Management. He promised to settle the matter amicably.
Efforts have been made to get the side of Mr. Richard Lawson to respond to such an allegation proved futile.
