As APC Gives SLPP “Uppercut” in Bonthe Trouble Looms For SLPP In 2023

Political analysts have argued that the manner in which the ruling Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) lost to the main opposition All Peoples Congress (APC) in the past Saturday’s Multi-Ward Local Council Election in Ward 308, Bonthe District which is considered as its stronghold is a clear manifestation that the 2023 General elections may not be easy to be won again by the SLPP if immediate action is not taken.

In the Bye-Elections held in Bombali and Port Loko Districts, the APC swept all seats.

In Bonthe District 2 SLPP and 2 APC candidates contested including Daddy A. Vondor under the APC ticket scored 661 votes while the SLPP Michael Powells maintained 478 votes.

In the same ward, the APC Sallu Wahab recorded 315 while the SLPP Musa Minah scored 690 votes.

According to the irate citizens, SLPP should now take heeds because the President, His Excellency Brigadier Bio is just seventy six days today which means he will soon attains his first 100 days in power since election.
